Photographs, illustration & bodypainting
During my first year of studies, I had a great opportunity to show my work in a three weeks exhibition.
Annecy, also known as the Venice of the Alps, is a huge inspiration source. My work for this short experimenting exhibition was mainly inspired by the sunshine colors on the lake.
My photography work was focused on Annecy and surroundings. I was here mainly interested by lights and graphic composition.
The illustrations were based on symbolic and complementarity. I’d like to create something you can watch differently each time and discover new things. The main inspiration were : the nature, the feeling of freedom offer by the place and the lights again.
Finally, the idea behind the body painting part was to integrate a person with a symbol painted in his back like a tattoo. Then a picture is taken in a landscape corresponding to his activity. Thus, the pictures produced were essentially about outdoor « extreme » sports like slackline in all its variations (jumpline, longline, etc.). For instance, I have painted a huge eagle on the back of one guy to express the amazing feeling of flying that take you when jumping on the line. I also wanted to depict the tough side of this sport. You have to be strong minded and brave to dance on a so small limit between falling and flying.
